Did AdHoc ever advertise that Dispatch was episodic? Or did they expect us to infer because it's ex-Telltale people? I certainly had no idea, and learning that it was episodic in reviews really turned me off from buying it today, despite loving the demo.

this is soft, dude. this is really, really soft. a few years back, Frank Tieri threatened another critic and myself with violence, directly, at a comic-con over Batman opinions. That dude kept his job. He slid into my DMs with a fake apology. C. Kirk called for extermination. A joke didn't kill him.

I really want to enjoy Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, but every time I boot up the demo, it ends with me angrily turning the game off because the combat is too hard. I'm clearly doing something wrong, but it's giving me zero signals what that is.

I have been playing Persona 4 Golden and have been really struck with how different it is than the others I've played (5 Royal, 3 Reload, and 3 Portable)

I expected nothing less but I can see we're already being way too much about Silksong $20 is a normal-ass indie game price. It's not....generous or noble of Team Cherry to price their game this way. It's pretty standard for a game this size and only $5 more than Hollow Knight.

i find this image so fascinating. it is both a literal example of authoritarianism but also a second-hand reproduction of the aesthetics of other authoritarian states. it's like a simulacra of authoritarianism whose purpose is to attempt to make the simulacra real.
