Actually, I know what Winning Arvo reminds me of. That Channel 10 Saturday Night show from 1980 that tried to combine celebrity interviews and the Mooney Valley Trots.

The biggest disappointment about Channel 7's Winning Arvo isn't the concept (shit!) or the plagiarism (blatant!) or the throwback to the call-and-lose scams of the Big Brother Uplate era, it's that we have to wait three months for Mitch McTaggart to pass judgement on Alex Cullen's career trajectory.

I didn't watch The Simpsons when I was growing up. I can probably count on one (1) hand the number of episodes I've watched in my lifetime. You could send me the most heartfelt or time-appropriate Simpsons meme/screencap and it'll never be as poetic or as funny as this to me.
