A lot of things clicked into place for me when I figured out that a writing career isn’t a sprint but it ALSO isn’t a marathon. It’s a relay, a never-ending relay with different batons moving forward at different intervals & you gotta keep going & grab it when it comes to you & pass it ahead after.

The most powerful weapon we will ever have is the ability to imagine a world that’s better than the one we live in.

Happy New Year! You know it's a new year when these folders pop up in my hard drive. This is the third year after I gave up trying to keep everything organized in one big folder and set of subfolders and started breaking down the writing projects by year!

I've bought oil paints for the 1st time since college. Oils are 🔥, but they stain, and solvents stink. So I stopped using them once out of the studio. But: I only have 1 life. And solvent-free oil painting is a thing. I'm about to rediscover the most versatile medium there is.
