Men largely are outwardly transphobic because they see trans women as the way to get the 1950s dating experience again; women who cant get jobs & no one will care if you hit them

The way that the supreme court ruled actually makes ot seem like it'd be a title 9 violation for them to ban trans men from women's sports, so like... low key

This is bone-chilling. A conservative hedge fund manager wants to require little girls to pass genital inspections for their “safety.” And it’s only for girls’ sports. There’s a clear link between transphobia and child sexual abuse.

I mean yeah, like, cis women have a prostate (but its called something different), its just not really active, but testosterone can make it active in trans women the prostate can become inactive to the point where it may even be difficult to detect

Now that we have liberal supreme court justices siding with conservatives on the idea that "well gender and sex are different, so sex is immutable" we really need to start policing the use of that phrase.

The things is, in order to take away specifically trans rights, you sort of have to shred the entire constitution as it is, the problem being, that it seems the court may be willing to do just that.

In all honesty, I just don't think you understand transphobia unless you seek out feminist theory that centers the experience of transsexual women specifically. Not that there isn't much to learn from other perspectives, but it would be like trying to learn physics without math.

The UN (yes, the UN) put out a graphic in support of trans women that depicted us as... women. Feminine women. Much of Xitter was up in arms about that being "bad rep" (what) because you "couldn't tell". They'd just "drawn women and called them trans". And it's so revealing.

During her response praising the supreme court for 'clarifying the difference between biological sex and 'social gender'' (??), she says again: -"Sex and gender ARE different" -"Trans people are ABSOLUTELY valid™️!! It's a valid..thing, to be!" Validity, S ≠ Gen discourses, failed in liberal hands.

I know many find it annoying to put words under a microscope like this, but the truth is, TERFs have caused meaningful damage by changing the understanding of the law through the distortion of the meanings of words.

knowledge of v-coding as a matter of explicit policy is a psychological nuke, and how someone reacts to learning about it tells you a hell of a lot about them. i don't recommend any trans people look it up, if they don't already know, but cis people should.

Just so we're clear on the gravity of this, putting trans women in men's prison is all but guaranteeing that they will be raped Such a policy is explicitly pro-rape, as it truly has no other function.

I had to pull this from FB, as obviously they aren't here. From The Labour Party, 2d ago. They're segregating trans people in toilets, social clubs, sports, hospital wards, prisons. Repealed Section 28? Instituted another one, for trans people. The GRC? They've murdered it. This is depraved.

As I’ve said before, any serious attempt to ban conversion practices in Britain has to confront the fact that the NHS never stopped doing it. This draft bill not only fails, it explicitly gives “healthcare providers” permission to continue.

The real underlying reason so many people feel the need for a strict legal definition of "woman" is the same reason governments spend so much time doing land surveys and issuing deeds. Fundamentally, people still haven't moved beyond the idea that women exist foremost as a type of property
