WE'RE FUNDED! BASE GOAL ANNIHILATED IN FOUR!! HOURS!! We're full of SO MANY emotions. OTHERSIDE means a lot to us, and we're so grateful to everyone who wants queer stories, poems, and art to have more space to exist. Now more than ever, that matters ๐ช๐ก๏ธ Now onto stretch goals?? ๐

also I love independent journalists but what I would love more is journalists who are currently independent being able to do their work in newsrooms with legal departments and legal funds as opposed to not having that infrastructure/safety net when the government is disappearing people.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're going to try to use the "antifa are terrorists" EO, in conjunction with this, to strip legal citizenship, and thereby voting rights, from everyone who's not a reliable Republican voter/supporter of this administration (because "terrorist")

Just your periodic reminder that AI generated "art" is theft and any creative person, artist or writer, using it still needs to really re-evaluate their ethics and where they stand, cos yikes ๐

one of the common threads you will frequently find among devoted adult readers & writers is that as kids the librarian let them get away with reading whatever the fuck they wanted. so much of the scifi and fantasy I fell in love with as a kid was very much Not For Kids, but it made my brain light up

the ai sludge that buckaroo authors are now endlessly sent by robots summarizing their books and then offering 'promotional services' is very annoying, but i did have a good laugh that the made up name some dang computer came up with to sound like a real editor was HARPER COLLINSWORTH
