I loathe the not-so-subtle use of AI in day-to-day communication. Straightforward emails that could have been a few easy-to-read bullet points are becoming unnecessarily verbose. I do not have time to read all that.

Please email your local library and politely complain about Libby's AI "Inspire Me" feature. Your local library worker will love this. Seriously. We had so many tools for collecting feedback.

The ACM Digital Library, where a LOT of computing-related research is published (I'd say at least 75% of my own publications), is now not only providing (without consent of the authors and without opt-in by readers) AI-generated summaries of papers, but they appear as the *default* over abstracts.
