Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

I haven't been able to get on VR recently because of my GPU issues, and it's really making me realize how much I need it. It makes me nervous, realizing how much I really do depend on it. I guess I forgot that VR is the only reason I'm still here in the first place..

I hate having emotional talks over text. It's so difficult to actually have a meaningful conversation. Maybe this is just my own problem, but I find it really hard to interpret or express emotion like I would be able to in person, in VR, or even over a call.

Yeah, I've been bringing this up a ton. "informational labellers" were clearly not a part of the design and there need to be a split between services that merely classify and those that provide true moderation services, and it need to be clear to users which is which.

the owner of the pronouns labeler using it for moderation (blocking/hiding their account, idk what else) is crazy. Users should have more control over how labelers control their experience 😵‍💫

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11
