🖌️i've read the original 'Making Comics' and 'Understanding Comics' by Scott McCloud, so seeing this as a format inspired me

phrases like "in the limelight" are both funny and interesting to me. the reason the phrase came into existence refers directly to techniques that are no longer commonly used (the *specific* method of creating a strong glow), but everybody still knows exactly what you mean contextually.
