I’m so relieved to be done with any church that is more committed to the myth of “neutrality” and “making everyone feel welcome!” aka doing zero work toward justice and dismantling white supremacy. I made pumpkin bread over a week ago. It was high protein (don’t come for me, I’m working on my health) so it tasted kinda funny. I didn’t think much of it and ate it over the course of a few days. I JUST now realized that I never added the pumpkin to it. In case you’re wondering how I’m doing.

The people of Minnesota are reminding me that we were born to love, to stand up for what is right and true and good, to use our anger in righteous ways, to sacrifice for the good of others (even, especially, strangers) — this is what it means to be made in the image of God.

My adoptive father texted our family this today. Nothing about ICE. Nothing about Alex. Nothing about Renee. He doesn’t like to talk politics because it “stresses him out.” Must be so nice to live in a bubble where you get to go on with business as usual. Feels like bedazzling a rotting tomb.

There’s no room for a spectrum of opinions here. The fact is ICE is straight up demonic. Either you can see that or you’ve been brainwashed. And I fear so much of our country has been just that. How do we help people see the truth when they’re hell-bent on believing lies? God have mercy. I am sick
