Probably a good time to point out that after cuts to services like our bio-security under the last National Govt, M.bovis was able to breach our borders and infect our farms. It was the next Labour govt that managed to eradicate it and set up a 10 year plan to monitor its situation long term.

And automatic enrolment, unlike the KS policy, does not force it on workers. It just makes it the default position. Opting out is still possible.

If its good enough for National to make Kiwisaver mandatory with automatic signup, why not union membership? Both are for personal and collective security,right? I'm all for it,especially as non-union members benefit from union negotiated wage increases.
