Miguel, a lawyer and triathlete, decided to turn that dream into reality by creating the project Iron Brothers.Their inspiration came after watching a video of two American brothers—one of them also with cerebral palsy—completing an IRONMAN together.Pedro expressed his desire to live that same experience, and Miguel, moved by brotherly love, accepted the challenge. With no adaptive equipment, they began training together, facing physical and logistical obstacles. With the support of sponsors like GoldNutrition and Hospital da Luz, they obtained the necessary gear, including an adapted bike and a racing chair. In 2019, they participated in the IRONMAN 70.3 in Cascais, successfully completing the race. Since then, they became the first European duo to finish a full IRONMAN within the time limit—and only the fifth in the world. In 2022, in Hamburg, they set a world record as the first duo outside the United States to complete the race. The story of the Iron Brothers is a testament to perseverance, inclusion, and unconditional love. Pedro, despite his limitations, became a symbol of determination, while Miguel, by his brother’s side, shows that no barrier is insurmountable when there is courage and mutual support.Together, they inspire people around the world to believe that with dedication and unity, it’s possible to turn dreams into reality.View all 1,713 comments https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLteBGAsTxo/?igsh=aHphZ3BsNGM4cnJz
