I’m so grateful I found therapists who don’t try to pathologize, minimize, or prescribe away my grief over the state of the world.

Instead of celebrating Thanksgiving the traditional way, my partner and I took my little sister to the Forest to appreciate the land and look for fairies. We told her a child version of the reality of Thanksgiving and the harm the settlers caused, and the importance of respecting this land
