The only time I've been truly starstruck in my life was when I met Jane Goodall. She handled it was such grace and humanity. I'll never forget how she made me feel in a moment when I could've (possibly should've) felt self conscious and stupid. She left me feeling loved and appreciated.

What an energetic and impactful life Jane Goodall lived. I might climb up on the top deck of the ferry and do a big old pant hoot, just like she taught me.

I celebrate the spookiness of spooky season but I’m super not into the blood, gore and body horror that so many folks seem to love. So it’s also the season of me saying “No thank you” to a lot of shoot requests.

When we rode the ferry the other day there was a dude on there with 3 digital Leica cameras: an SL2, an M11, and a Q2. All with the same focal length of lens on them. That’s roughly $40K of camera around your neck to get basically the same photos out of all 3. Some people have too much money.

It’s Ferry day for Dolly. Her least favourite hours of any west coast trip.

I can't claim to have known Darren very well but every time I saw him the dude just exuded joyfulness. He leaves a giant hole of service & joy in our community we must try to fill together. My thoughts are very much with Julia and his family right now.
