We live in an age where 1. people are angry and never happy, so things like Steam reviews are ass 2. journalists are journalists and will say things to get clicks or checks 3. even when things are legitimately positive, there are still review bombers you gotta just play games for yourself.

All the other journalists I've seen talk about it say it plays well, and the guy isn't THAT bad. But we're not talking about that. We're talking about the one review that complained about the single thing. I feel like an old crotchety fuck, but y'all need to touch grass.

Hate gets clicks, that's the way it is. Do I want/like the idea of a comic relief sidekick? No. But we have an hour of the game, and we don't know that it'll ALL be like that the entire time. We just assume it will, because we want to hate a thing, because we're all jaded and used to things sucking

Okay, I've been seeing Metroid Prime 4 talk all morning. Here's my thoughts: People are too jaded and predisposed to hating something from a first glance. Like, I don't BLAME them, but it's bad. Lots of places reviewed it. One REALLY harped on what seems like a tutorial guy, so it MUST suck.
