I welcome it when colleagues want to talk about difficulties they have going on. It's been striking, since covid really, how much more open people are (esp medics) to vulnerability. When you remove through-traffic from city centres, everyone wins. Cafés get more trade, kids can cycle safely, walking feels relaxed, homes are quieter, and streets become places people actually want to spend time. Design for people and cities come alive.

This is really welcome news. Having campaigned for wide area 20mph limits in Herts for nearly 6 years progress up until now has been painfully slow. Just hope lower limits will be rolled out more fairly both in urban centres and rural towns and villages.
