Good thread about how to manage your game and lessen the chance of save/game corruption! Now that the game is growing bigger and bigger with each EP, it's a good idea to not bloat saves too much. There's always a limit to everything... even the Sims 4. #thesims4

I'm trying to do this with a wedding I think! Just do a whole weekend for the family, from rehearsal dinner to wedding ceremony ( just use the elope option) and the reception afterwards. That way sims FINALLY will do what I want them to do at certain times and no one pees themselves ha. #thesims4

Excellent idea for the new pack!!

Test first on a new save that never had ANY mods. Remove the mod folder before adding the new pack! Then delete localthumbcache Make a new save, test the pack features. Then play vanilla or wait for mods to be updated. NOTE: Mods can also have bugs! Even if they are updated ! #thesims4

Just downloaded the new pack, so far so good! Now to build something insane ( probably the castle from 'A Cure for Wellness') and see if that works too! I want to build a Spa / B&B thing, since I'm watching the movie now 😄 For reference..this insane thing #thesims4

Folks. LE and LEUI and LastCrash files are XML files that are NOT allowed to upload at the Sims Forum. You need to upload them to a third party site and link or open with a text editor and then copy/paste the content. This was true for AHQ and is still true for the EA forums. Thank you

So I'm trying this again in a new save. This time the two groups seems to be doing their assigned activity but the staff sims still didn't show up and the lot doesn't seem to spawn more than 6 sims (same as yesterday). If you've tried it in your game, pls let me know if it's an issue for you as well

New patch! Take out that mod folder before starting in on the new pack as well. Can't be too careful xx

Some fixes just went through! It's just small changes but I would make back-ups anyway, also if you are installing the new pack! Maybe make a new save to test the pack before throwing your legacy saves in there as well. Take mods out before this, and installing the new pack. #thesims4

ad #TheSims4AdventureAwaits It's a good idea to save your custom schedules to the gallery as a Custom Venue lot. Schedules/Getaways are per save game, so if you want them in other saves, use the gallery to transfer them!

If you are still using Onedrive ( automatically enabled with Windows) please STOP ! It's a 'cloud service '( fancy word for someone else's computer)which is very unreliable and you can lose files, or they can be reinstated and cause no end of issues.

I had a rant in me today about Save files and Onedrive ( because the Sims Direct post referred to it) so there you have it 😆 Also general annoyances from FB, as you do. 1/2 #thesims4 #TS4rants

Sad news about Chingyu, also knows as Vicky Sims. Mods will only be updated in January, if that ever happens. She has the best custom lot traits/challenges. Her life is a bit crazy right now. She spoke with more detail on her Discord, but since it's personal I'm not going to share it here. #ts4mods

It seems it's not JUST For Rent, but more a complexity issue that already existed before the pack came out, having many units does seem to make it worse though. Too early to tell, keep sharing saves so they have more information to go on. #thesims4

The deal will close 2nd Quarter of 2026, not 2027 as said earlier. The Sims is already free to play ( Basegame) but since they'll want some return on their investment we can count on possibly more microtransactions/ads etc. But that's speculation. What it will mean for inclusiveness.. #thesims4

They do still have to get through the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, but since Jared Kushner ( Trumps son in law) is part of the deal I don't think that will be much of an obstacle. Trump govt has connections to the Saudi's anyway, and their huge investment fund. #thesims4

Wow when you start to investigate you dig up things you didn’t know before. The same lead investor who bought EA is also lead investor of Unity a software that is used by games like Paralives, Pokémon Go, Subnautica etc. It seems you can’t escape them. 😩

I did for while when they pushed Origin ( Sims 3) as it meant I had to rebuy some of my packs, since I lost some booklets. I actually had all packs, still played 🏴‍☠️TS3 out of spite. The online part of TS4 is just as bad, also because they can force updates on us if they want to.. #thesims4
