For us here in Dartmouth, having a community mailbox has been absolutely fine. The only time it's annoying is during bad weather or if the package boxes are full - but even then, sometimes the driver will bring it to your door rather than leave it at a local office for pickup.

Things I have made with this year's tomato harvest: Canning: Tomato sauce, salsa Meals: Several salads, tomato galette, tomato soup, pizza x2 (tomatoes on pesto, then homemade sauce), chili I've also frozen two large freezer bags worth to use over the winter. Good year even with the drought!

Vegan PSA: You can get a pumpkin spiced latte from Second Cup easily: order the oat version and ask for no white chocolate (the usual has flavour shot + white chocolate) Of course lots of local cafes do their own version that is easily plant-based, but it's nice to have a chain that does them.

Our car buying adventure went better than we thought it would today! Now that we've met, no 50 emails or phone calls, and the folks at the dealership were quite nice and not pushy. So thumbs up so far! Still deciding what to buy, though.

Ooof, we're in the market for a new car and so far our experience with sales people has been irritating. I sent a message inquiring about coming by tomorrow and wanted to make sure they ACTUALLY had two specific cars on the lot, and so far have received 8 messages (email + text).
