We've got our work cut out for us in this next year, but I'm just as excited for Draw Steel: Year Two. I think this time next year? There's gonna be a LOT more Draw Steel players. And we'll know a lot more about developing for it, and what folks want. Cannot wait.

Currently between Draw Steel games due to the holiday period so I'm just living vicariously through other people's posts this next two weeks.

I’ve been running a Draw Steel game while a longer 5e campaign is on hiatus to introduce us all (especially me!) to how the game works. Here are some takeaways after a handful of sessions from the stater set The Delian Tomb!

My usual game of D&D was called off today because of some absolutely rotten luck @sunnyinlogan.bsky.social is having, but that gave me an opportunity to run a game of #DrawSteel for them & my other friends using Codex by @dmhubvtt.bsky.social & it went very well Made it very easy for them to learn.

It's tough for new TTRPGs when competing with established systems with metric tons of supplements and material, because some players will invariably compare what's on offer. #DrawSteel is a great example on how to do it. They're expanding in all direction, but it all feels meaningful and exciting.

Playing #DrawSteel! with my Action Cards I made. Using art I commissioned from a friend to bring my character Vraxis to life & turned into cards using cardconjurer.com They're so gorgeous. Printed them on 300GSM paper at my local OfficeWorks.

Fun #DrawSteel! Character idea: A Revenant Fire Elementalist. In order to kill a Revenant you need to do Fire Damage to them while they're down, but Fire Elementalists get Fire Immunity based on their level. The image that's popping into my head for its aesthetics is Brand from League of Legends.

Luis has misinterpreted the question. The Rule of Cool is when you intentionally bend the rules to allow something normally not possible within the rules to happen because its cool. Luis is referring to an ignorance of the rules & making a ruling in the moment to allow whatever the PC attempts.
