Fun Draw Steel game using Codex today. 3rd level PCs fought to kill/close a weakened Lumbering Egress that had made a keep uninhabitable for 30+ years. I will use this ending to move away from a story line I had been working on to test the playtest of Crack The Sun! Wish me luck! #drawsteel

Yesterday’s Epic fight on the stairs in my draw steel game, I (the director) had the least epic, epic rolls. A surviving single minion attacked a PC with zero recoveries left. Rolled nat 20, followed by a nat 19. Total damage.. 6 stamina. 😂

The hero’s engaged the undead guardians and debated the strategies of focus fire on the dame, remove the annoying minions or steal the cup. The answer turned out to be “yes” with the dame being dropped when one minion was left, and the shadow was halfway down the stairs with the cup. 😂 #drawsteel

Final form of the map, thank you @dmchuck.bsky.social for the heads up on the xl dungeon kit. Made a last minute update (the raised platform) to rush some changes in. Can’t wait to see how the players will ruin all the undead’s plans to stop them. 2 hours till they draw steel.

After reading playtest of Crack the Sun. I realized that my previous map (while based on a lot of other art out there) was not very accurate and would cause confusion if I used it. So... with the help of a map found on a stream of Mat C that folks pointed me to, I made some touch ups. #drawsteel

Was able to work on my Draw steel campaign a bit this weekend. I integrated Broadhurst, Byre, and a home made town into the regional map. Also added a few new elements. The best part of making your own map is being able to make your home brew look as legit looking as the official lore. #drawsteel

In the Draw steel game where i get the opportunity to be a player, we finished a tough fight, navigated getting to a secure lighthouse (halve the group via swimming the other acting like guards). BSed our way into the light house connected with the target. A fun night of combat, montages, and RP

Had such fun in #DrawSteel last night. Entering the ruins of a collapsed Lighthouse built on top of an ancient forge, magically animated suits of armor & Servitor War Walkers spring to its defense. I LOVE my Berzerker Fury. I threw a War Walker through a pillar destroying both War Walker & pillar!

Second #DrawSteel fight of the night was also pretty wild by the end of it!

Wow this might be the best dragon fight i have run in any RPG in over 30 years of table top gaming. Party running on fumes, they entered the fight with between 5-7 victories and 1-4 recoveries left. Despite their plan not surviving round 1, they found its weakness and pressed hard! #drawsteel #rpg

Fun slime slime filled draw steel combat today. Had a 3 square deep pit at the foot of stairs. Wanted the map to show how deep it really is, yet i needed to have the players see their minis. So the stairway could be pulled away revealing the poor folks in the pit. #drawsteel

At player request I’m adding player generated status / conditions beyond the standard draw steel ones i had. Makes it easier for them to remember status they place on monsters and allies. These will have a mini magnet in the center, and all my pawns and minis have magnets in their bases.

Finally got another in-person draw steel game in. Officially it took over a year to get to level 2. In looking at the character sheets we realized the PCs started as beta PCs (the troubadour was a skald). Here is a modded 4th lvl tower. I added more elements to interact with. #drawsteel
