There's evidence Tolkien secretly believed the Lord of the rings must have really happened. Because he was really uncomfortable with the idea of anyone other than God inventing worlds the way he was doing. The creative impulse, the feeling of discovering these characters and events, unsettled him.

I don't think anyone else would have come up with the idea of having an elf touching the Sea of Stars creating ripples that spread out over the whole map, to communicate the idea that it's both a starfield with spaceships, and a sea with sailing ships "depending." It's brilliant.

So, I think people have the notion that I saw BIRTH OF A NATION was racist and that's why I want to remove it from the canon. That's not actually true. I kept hearing about how BOAN was the first this and the first that but as I started watching more silent movies, the math was not mathing.

Okay, I think Sugar is officially a good show in my book. The characters in it are really complicated in believable ways. Really human. LOL It actually reminds me of a lot of a Michael Mann movie. Right down to how good the villain is.

There's a kind of RPG product I look at and think "that's cool, I wish MCDM could make a book like that." But we can't because we are an expensive company and that product would never pay for itself. And then I wonder...do those products only exist because everyone working on them has a day job?
