We parked within feet of a small tributary of the Bighorn River one summer. I could walk out my RV door, down the embankment, and stand knee-deep in the water. One direction was a couple of Cottonwoods, and the other was rocks and a livestock bridge.

Painted over a month ago, on a day I made several of these, but kept only one. This 6”x3” mini has been hiding in the back of my drying rack. I don’t anticipate making anymore this size; this year I want the 6”x6” studies to be the smallest I make. I’m adding a larger 16”x16” scale to my rotation.

Giant desert fire ring I made one winter when we were dry camping with a caravan of other families in the Utah/ AZ border. Took me the better part of an hour to collect all the stones and rake the ground. The whole daylight savings thing was tricky to remember.
