Today, major trigger combined with real threat, tied up in old trauma needing a now response trying to find a reasonable reaction to now. 3 hours of my life plus another 3 to stop being in fight/flight. My baseline calm is someone else's adrenaline state. I fucking hate trauma.

I'm not sure that psychs should be doing this level of work unless they have open ended time and a willingness to help solve the suicide drivers. I had a psych open it all up and walk away telling me it wasn't his job. #harm

Women are most likely to experience domestic violence in form of coercive control. Part of that is perpetrated online via tracking& surveillance. The impact often leads to mental distress and at worst, hospitalisation. To then surveil is cruel and likely to lead to further distress.It's just not ok

Today I ate 2 good meals, fell apart and cried after 4 hours on phone due to DWP mess up and then tidied up and decluttered a bit.

As a survivor of coercive control, I watch trump and terror arises in me. His behaviour has hallmarks of abusive men: bullying, intimidation, mind games, constant changing of rules, threats, isolation, denying, minimising, blaming. He encourages everything women should be frightened of

First the abuse happens. That alone is life altering and often lifelong. Then you are disbelieved. Then you are expected to do the inner work of the perpetrator and answer the question "why did he do it?". The abuse is perpetrated again and again by everyone else in society.

I feel this is probably quite important information. You wouldn't want to get it wrong.

Days later, I'm still sitting with how therapists, psychiatrists, MH workers, clinical psychologists, doctors missed the coercive control. Why are these people not training in the Freedom Programme. You just shouldn't be given a licence unless you do it every fucking year.

Feeling shocked and befuddled about how many helping professionals missed all the signs of coercive control. Not one of them was willing to see it although it was bog standard presentation. All of them decided instead that I was mad. How do you get over that level of betrayal?
