1. I've said exactly this for quite some time. Expanding on Adrian's @sillyputty78.bsky.social point on X / Twitter here, Covid-19 has three distinct characteristics as a disease that enables it to be denied at a societal level.

1. I am of the firm belief that it is now impossible to get H5N1 out of the ecosystem of North America. Bluntly put, there is now simply too much virus present in wild birds and mammals to be able to contain it. There are also likely many more human cases than reported.

Probably not nose-blind from exposure to fragrances but from being recurrently infected with a neurotropic virus that causes loss of taste and smell…

This is me with mumps in the late 1950s. Back then about 180,000 kids got it every year and 40 or 50 died. A few hundred others end up with deafness or other disabilities. I just had high fevers and hallucinations, missed a lot of school that year – 2 weeks for mumps and 2 weeks for chicken pox.

Several weeks ago, I posted on another site about my 8 year-old niece who contracted Covid 4x during the last school year, and is now suffering from significant memory loss. Recently, I picked her up to take her apple picking and noticed a drastic personality change.
