I think itâs important to remember that as into social media as we are, huge numbers of Brits & Americans donât spend time online & get their info from newspapers, tv & what colleague say at the pub/work. As William Gibson wisely said, âThe future is already hereâit's just not evenly distributedâ

Definitely a head-scratcher that many will find unsatisfying. But from a purely visual standpoint, itâs never not interesting and even captivating at times. My â â â review of Mamoru Oshiiâs âAngelâs Eggâ (1985):

I spent the first 10 years of my career as a famously vicious film critic. I was effusive with love but wrote some famous takedowns that often went viral. There was a 2 month period where my careers overlapped. I wrote a SAVAGE takedown of an admittedly deserving film that went around townâŠ

Loook... I don't give a shit about Katy Perry or Justin Trudeau. All I'm saying is that if you made a movie about a former prime minister and former pop star falling in love, set it at Christmas, and then put that shit on Netflix, Jess and I would crush two bottles of wine watching it and love it.
