Tubi is Criterion for the Joe Bob Briggs crowd. Lot of movies that he hosted there that Showtime and TNT would never play anymore. Their loss.

I like the 2011 remake of FRIGHT NIGHT quite a bit, but every time I see folks declaring it an unimpeachable masterpiece that's better than the 1985 original, I have 3 thoughts... 1. That they're insane. 2. That they clearly haven't watched the original recently. 3. The remake is the 3rd best one.

MORTAL KOMBAT: ANNIHILATION is a horrendous sequel packed with terrible SFX, bad performances, and an atrocious script. That said? The fights are still fun and the soundtrack rocks.

Netflix buying WB sucks. Paramount buying WB would have sucked. Comcast buying WB would have sucked. There was no winning here, because no matter what it's a monopoly merger that costs us a major studio AND a major theatrical distributor. We need to stop letting studios buy other studios.

The most unbelievable thing about DIE HARD is that Ellis wants a Classic Coke. A guy like that in 1988 Los Angeles would definitely drink New Coke.

Arnie was just having the time of his life in this film.

Quentin Tarantino is one of the absolute last people that should be publicly judging the acting talent of others.

Snyder Cultists thinking that Netflix buying WB means that the Snyderverse can return really should pay more attention to what has transpired with both Snyder & Netflix in recent years. Not gonna happen. At all. Let it go. Enjoy the films you have. Find other new films to enjoy. Move on.

"Netflix now has a monopoly..." The sale of WB was going to be a monopoly no matter what, given that the other two suitors were also film studios. We were losing a major studio no matter who bought it out of those three. There was no upside to any of this, only varying degrees of bad.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone refers to something that was a hit upon release as "cult". If it was a hit when it came out, it's not a cult film or show. It's a popular hit film or show. Cult media builds up a notable following over time, it doesn't have one right out the gate.
