My husband has a life threatening disease. We own small businesses and get our insurance on the exchange. I don't know how we'll afford ins. if we lose the subsidy, but my husband can't afford to go without insurance. The R's talk about supporting 'job creators' but are stripping our heathcare.

a3 That sounds like ME! 😉 Mostly true. Depends on the platform and who needs access to me there. I tend to silo things to keep them separate. Work vs personal. Family vs. acquaintance. And it's easy to make filters for email so it pings the phone but I can read on my time. #FreelanceFriends

a2a) My last round of frustration came when people on a certain platform were pinging an "@/everyone" for ridiculous things - even after asking them to use caution. Nope. It was enough that I totally turned off all the notifications for that platform. It was too much. #FreelanceFriends

a1) Mine work best when I can set them up the way I want. Customization - certain sounds/icons for people, quiet hours, and certain conditions. It gets harder when notifications are triggered by things outside my control - even losing their novelty and being ignored. #FreelanceFriends

Again as a solo-entrepreneur, no - not really. I have more of a disaster plan in place than comms. I don't envy those who need to be prepared with crisis comms even though I well understand why the prep needs to happen. Good crisis comms can be truly invaluable in the moment. #FreelanceFriends

Nice being a business of one - no impetus to have to comment or really do anything. I do appreciate when the event is acknowledged in a mindful/thoughtful way. So easy to drift into the performative though and that tends to rub me the wrong way. Bandwagon-ing kinda sucks. #FreelanceFriends
