Judging by my experience and many many posts by others, the real American New Year's Eve tradition is staying home, baking a pizza, and watching movies.

Staying up late to be loud and drunk at Midnight is so unappealing to me now. The Japanese tradition of getting up early and quietly watching the first sunrise of the New Year seems much more appropriate.

Frustrating to find and fall in love with "Somali and the Forest Spirits", with its slow gentle pacing and bedtime story themes and music, only to learn that it only had one season and ended with so much more story to tell. Still a great watch that I enjoyed.
