Government politicians in Ireland have no compunction about rightly calling out Russia's many war crimes in Ukraine or denouncing the illegality of its imperialist invasion of that country. When it comes to the US however, they claim it is only posterity that can judge their crimes of aggression.

Cyprus would not be under attack if the British hadn't imposed the continued occupation of 3% of the island for sovereign military bases. This is not, as some are framing it, an attack on the European Union, but rather an attack on a 🇬🇧 colonial outpost used by 🇺🇸. This is not to say it's legal.

Asserting international law only when it is in your own/allies interest means not being committed to international law at all. Being dragged into a war by more powerful allies against direct interest and better judgement means having no strategic autonomy. The UK Govt is in a mess.

I think the last time the USA created regime change solely through bombing was in Cambodia, when a massive carpet bombing campaign so destabilized the country that the Khmer Rouge came to power and wiped out the Royal government—the American ally. Genocide followed.
