How many times does it have to be said. The Triple Lock was brought in as a legislative guarantee because the *people of Ireland* didn't want to become part of EU military structures. The TL reflects the sovereign will of the people, not the Government.

All the new proponents of 'Irish sovereignty' who think it means having our own fighter jets and distancing ourself from the UN have very little to say about our economic dependency on a handful of US multinationals and inability to have effective, state funded public services.
