It took me ages to build these since still water and me are sworn enemies. After I finalised these I read about swamps built onto of painted bases with PVC sticky foil. I guess that’s my next take. However my colors came out nicely.

Curiously enough, the Hungarian Zrinyi II SPG ended up in use by the Red Army. #OTD in 1944 a unit of 15 captured Hungarian AFVs including 3 Zrinyi was formed in the 18th Army. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII

A return to Vietnam yesterday with a test game of my Chain of Command 2 for Ebor Lard. A comprehensive victory for the Free World forces who (the the aid of multiple double and even triple phases) brought their awesome firepower to bear. The VC gave them a couple of nasty moments though! Great fun!

Interesting weekend, mostly really nice. I managed to get these halberdiers done. The flag is printed and then painted and detailled by hand to make it look nice. Slogan is (I hope) "Lick the Bull!" in latin, because it seemed like something soldiers would choose as a war cry based on the design.

I paint miniatures in my holidays, which is accepted in the family. Today with lake side view.

My kid teaches me how to use Lego properly: Today a Lego blanket.

Our Oudewater 1575 project is moving along nicely. Plungy has just poured water in this city canal. In the meantime, I'm nearly done with 1000 infantry.

During my holidays I try to finish (🤣) some started projects. Here only 24 horses need some more paint. This will be a centre piece of my Transylvanian Task Force. I went a bit too fancy for country side nobles, but these forces haven’t seen conflict for 80 years when they went to Poland.

We’re refighting Waterloo next week. So we needed some of the iconic Waterloo real estate. And here it is. Hougemont, La Hay Sainte, Papelotte & La Belle Alliance. All on a reduced footprint so not exact replicas but I think they give a good impression. All excellent Hovels models.
