A light in the darkness - EHRC draft Code says WI amd Girl Guides CAN lawfully choose to admit trans women / girls. Since the FWS Supreme Court judgment, we have seen multiple attempts to ban trans women and girls from womens clubs and association. The most prominent have been the WI and the GG.

The EHRC’s own Equality Impact Assessment admits this guidance is likely to have NEGATIVE impacts on trans people. That matters. Because the Supreme Court itself said its interpretation of the Equality Act would not disadvantage trans people... #transrights #equalityact #ehrc #lgbtq #humanrights

The Times coverage of what the Code is likely to contain is embarrassingly wrong. It talks repeatedly about what it will tell employers to do – but, of course, the guidance is only for service providers and associations. This is a question of basic accuracy and understanding. Shameful.
