The actual story is that a family of American citizens trying to evacuate from a neighborhood that ICE had made unsafe, and then ICE tossed munitions into the car, causing three kids to be hospitalized and a six month old to stop breathing. DHS called the family “radical agitators”

I wrote this piece with some hesitation; I did not want readers to assume I hold certain negative views about law enforcement in general. I wore my own badge with pride. But ICE’s behavior is so far beyond the pale that those of us with experience have a moral duty to decry its actions.

The reports coming out of Minnesota of the brutality of ICE terror are harrowing. What's clear to me, however, is that the people are rising up to resist this violence head on. Resistance is everywhere. We may be on our own, but we are not alone. "Every time a whistle blows, they don’t win."

Having seen several abductions up close, it is really hard to convey how much the thing they’re doing is roaming in military convoys until they see someone who is alone and isn’t white, and then jumping out in large numbers, pulling them into a van, and screeching off, all in 90 seconds or so.

The de facto position of the Trump administration is that it's occupying forces are allowed to mock and belittle American citizens, and also allowed to kill citizens who mock and belittle them.
