One of the people fired from NOAA today is the director of the Ocean Acidification Program. That program also leads the U.S. government's effort on marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR). The destruction of American science is incomprehensible.

One positive to come out of COVID: it validated that most of the general public were competent enough to perform at-home lateral flow tests. Hopefully reducing burdens on primary care now that diagnostics can be done by individuals.

Folks have been asking about striking linear feature that has appeared on radar near SF. This is likely a "Narrow Cold Frontal Rainband" (or NCFR), but also appears to be accompanied by series of "gravity waves" (vertical undulations appearing as parallel striations).
