i appreciate how thoughtful the community appears to be being today wrt new doc. its not about flaming one side or another here, or even really individuals. mistakes were made but from what im seeing i think we're assessing damages properly and this can be a big moment of growth for us as a scene

Let this be a lesson to younger Splatoon players to please learn how to read between the lines. You do not need to form and vocalize your opinion on something the moment you find out about it. Especially if you don’t have all the context.

It’s been very frustrating to see what has played out up until Gem/squid school released an actual statement. So much damage caused along the way by intentional misinformation and a refusal to consider other perspectives. This is worth a read and reflection.

regardless of how you feel about this situation and Splat Safety, I urge you to read this document in its entirety this is a situation that has affected the lives of REAL people, and the least we can do as a community is to stay informed and remain open to perspectives from those affected
