I was thinking about why people may prefer a bottom-up approach (pouring so much effort into working on a weapon or character first and then seeing the “bigger picture” afterwards) when trying to improve. It makes sense for quick results, but not for long-term ones at higher ranks.

When it comes to strategy and information, you either want a composition/playstyle that: 1. Limits the information to the other team so they become hesitant. 2. Overloads the other team with information to make them overwhelmed. Anything close to the middle makes a strategy too predictable imo.

The side routes on Urchin should be like the Clams and Turf layout. Every other layout doesn't make sense/takes some integrity away from the stage imo.

An underrated thing I'm starting to teach people is saying their thought process out loud. That way, they can comprehend bits of what they're doing and potentially catch flaws in their gameplay. It's like reading aloud your essay to find grammatical errors before submitting, except it's Splatoon.
