Gynaecology has a NINETY FOUR week wait. Nearly two years. To even have an initial discussion. GPs can't say it's more urgent. Worsening symptoms can't speed it up, and missing out on work doesn't move the dial either. Tired.

And they're already out of appointments for the whole day. Next appt available for a single phone call is 19th January. Tired.

Called my GP the literally second it hit 8AM and the queues opened. By the time I'd got through the automated message spiel, I was sixteenth in the queue. This is not a sensible setup!?

Day 3 of being off sick, and it's a full complement of musculoskeletal pain! Even my eyelids hurt...

First day back at work after the Christmas break? Uterus says no! Living and working with chronic illness that butts in at the most inconvenient time is scary. I'm always afraid I'll lose my job or be accused of lying about my health, but if I don't rest I'll be out sick even longer. Tired.

Oop nope, just endometriosis again. Over a year and counting since I applied for a gynaecology referral and the wait is only getting longer and the pain worse. Sunday comes to you courtesy of paracetamol, caffeine and codeine.

Earlier this week we sadly lost our beautiful girl, Io, in her sleep. Anyone who knew her knew she was as grumpy as she was stunning, and yet when she chose to show love, she purred the loudest of any cat I've ever known. We will miss her with all our hearts 🧡
