Signs about the history of slavery in the U.S. and the 9 people George Washington enslaved are being removed right now at the President’s House Site in Philadelphia, across from Independence Hall, months after the Trump administration threatend to do so. How far we have not come in 250 years.

Update! Catalina is now at the PAWS Old City adoption center. I dropped her off today. It was hard to say goodbye. We've been together almost a yr. But I am hopeful this will give her more visibility and that someone will adopt her soon. THANK YOU to all who have helped promote her. Stay safe.

Anyone thinking of donating to a food bank, here are things mine always needs: no salt added, low sodium, no sugar added canned vegetables, tomato products, fruit, beans, and meat. They need nut butters, oil, whole grain crackers/rusks, cereal and oatmeal, rice, pasta, shelf stable milk.

You can cook food for your neighbors. Set a free pantry box outside of your place. Pool money with your coworkers if someone at work has young kids or an elderly relative that likely has SNAP. You don’t have to pry into people’s business, you can just do things & make it known help is available.

In case you can't tell, I spent my evening organizing #nativeplants seeds for this year's winter sowing etc. I have 29 spp. I plan to sow, most already planted around the yard - I'm shooting both for more volume and to give them away next year. Growing 11 spp. from seed for the first time. 🌱
