It IS a fun setup! And it escalates really quickly, the salesman's dead by chapter 4. There's themes of power, community, life, death, belonging, and family. Magic in this setting is always rare, costly, and dangerous; never simple as a swish and flick. And there's a wolf man, a fairy, and a demon!

This sounds like such a fun setup! Chaos, magic, and small-town escape dreams? I'm in 💼✨
