The Marathon state of the game post is very good. Getting out ahead of Season 2 and making it clear that the team will be adding more PvE and PvP-lite modes is good; I have grown to love being sweaty in Marathon, but unfortunately they need to offer some sugar to help it go down for others.

It makes me very hopeful that the game will survive, which I definitely hope for because Marathon is one of my favorite MP games of all time. Never expected it to land as such but it’s very special to me.

With the way Capcom has adjusted Monster Hunter over the years, it's extremely clear they need to revisit the idea of Frontier and just make an MMO platform for the game. This half live service, half AAA title just ain't the play in this dev environment imo. Just commit to a FFXIV style experience.
