Found these old continuous-line animations collecting dust on my hard-drive. I made them just after going freelance, roughly four years ago. They were a hassle to scan in, clean and arranged but see all my lines rotate was so addictive. Should do more of these one day.

Some of today’s watercolour studies. I finally feel like I’m getting somewhere with it all, even if every page still feels like a fluke. I think that I prefer creating more abstract/colourful pages, but these naturalistic studies have been useful in getting my head around colour and what not.

Of course, what’s considered good and bad is subjective. I just know how I felt when making these, and, how I feel looking back at them. They serve as reminders of my lack of focus, knowledge and/or patience. One of many playful stumbles that brought me back down to earth and dinted my brittle ego.
