Revision build complete and he is so much sturdier and more posable than before, what a glow up! I built the original back in 2022 and waited on doing any of the others until Gammoth was done with prototyping. Now I can't wait for the new instructions to complete the fated four.

I should clarify, although he can bend his whole body into a circle, he cannot hold his tail in his mouth. Even the ingame model clips into itself, it’s difficult balancing detail vs function!

Okay whatever in other news I finally revised my Vaal Hazak build with this much sturdier and more accurate new version!

Over a year ago I announced I was building Ukanlos out of LEGO for my Monster Hunter project. Since then I made instructions for Akantor, Jin Dahaad, and all 3 Fatalis; yet I neglected to focus on the one I announced first. But today, Ukanlos finally has instructions too.

LEGO used to write “Just Imagine” on the boxes to encourage kids to take the models apart and build anything they can imagine! Now they don’t. Now they only advertise to busy adults who have lost their childhood creativity.

Flagship Monsters are always so unique, there’s a certain extra quality that’s given to them because they’re so important. Somehow they always turn out to be some of my best.

LEGO MH PROJECT UPDATE Going forward, I will no longer be using the official logos of MH in my fanart. For example, the cover page for my Rathalos instructions as seen below ⬇️ I will be systematically replacing the logos with a custom one that represents me (Jakob Dawson).

Okay okay okay Here he is, I built Magnamalo. This is the prototype model, it’ll be cleaned up for the final instructions model to be released later. I expected to like him by the end but no, my thoughts still haven’t changed. But I think as LEGO model/toy he looks better.

Finished a neat little stand for Jin Dahaad so it looks like he’s walking on floating chunks of rock and ice
