This is going to come as a surprise to current federal employees who were, as of Friday, interviewing people DOGE sent them.

What in the Keyser Söze? Also, isn't this an area for Senate nerds like Wyden or Warren to take leadership and to document the who, what, when of DOGE for future accountability? Is this already happening?

I do want to note Mamdani's transition specifically calling attention to like, people applying for city jobs and how many CVs they got in the mail, etc, because when was the last time you saw a politician actually talk about expanding state capacity other than hiring more cops?

Dems “stayed strong” for 40 days of Trump dicking over SNAP recipients and federal employees. They didn’t even last a weekend of Trump dicking over the airline industry.

Today I learned that election officials in Virginia are rejecting student voter registration forms because they lack info like campus mailbox numbers (which the form doesn’t even ask for.) Here’s hoping the lawsuit is successful.

Rough math: 12.3% of Americans (41.7 mil) are about to lose SNAP. Many food banks produce 3 meals per $1, so a November worth of meals for one costs $30. Round it up to $35 for asst. costs & hygiene products. If 13% of us donate $35 each to food banks, we can get everyone through Nov!

The way we avoid having to do all of this again in 8 or 12 or 16 or 24 years is by imprinting a generational memory of, "oh, the last time they did that, all of the top guys - I mean, the ones who survived - went to prison for the rest of their lives, and had their property seized."
