Six years later after I told her that I was going to transition, she’s been wildly supportive and helping me with some feminine things like makeup and being a wonderful ear to talk to and shoulder to cry on.

When I first came out to a few folks, my plan was to tell the people I felt closest and safest with and then never speak of it ever again. I just wanted some people to know and leave it at that. Kat was one of those people.

I’ve just finished reading the Bernice Summerfield novel Walking to Babylon, and wanted to tell @kateorman.bsky.social that it was an absolute delight! I’ve never been so invested in the People, and I was equally delighted by the historical immersion & the character work (esp. Benny & Lafayette’s)!

Last night, I found out that comics legend Peter David had passed. We only met a few times, I didn't know him well, but I always felt a kinship with him because of the way he wrote comics, what he felt was important. He wrote his superheroes as people. It meant a lot. Rest in peace, Peter.

When I was a kid, Peter David's run on The Incredible Hulk was held up as one of the single best runs the character ever had. When I read it, even those grand expectations were exceeded, it was one of the comic runs that cemented my goal to become a comic book writer, one I still pursue to this day

Official confirmation from his family that Peter David has passed away after a long illness. Tremendous writer, incredible talent. Sending my deepest condolences to his family and friends.
