At least a lot of the Nader voters were sorry. There was a whole phenomenon of repentant Nader voters in ‘04 urging people to vote for Kerry (unfortunately, by then post 9/11 brain fever had set in). I’ve heard barely a peep from the “protest voters” in ‘16 or ‘24 who put us in this nightmare.

This is a whole genre. “I hung out with a right wing ghoul for a bit and they knew to act polite to me, and that’s more important than how they act the rest of the time!” Time did it with Ann Coulter. The New Yorker did it with Michael Savage. The entire media did it with Rush Limbaugh for years.
