This afternoon, while discussing personal style, my sweet daughter looked at me, a 43 year old raised in Seattle during the 90’s, and asked in all seriousness “have you ever heard of GRUNGE?” and friends, I’m pretty sure that my soul left my body for a brief moment. The audacity.

Same. I didn’t start following the Timberwolves (and the NBA) until 2022, and did not expect to become so thoroughly invested in these guys, not just as players, but as people. NAW is the real deal and I’m so sad to see him go, but am absolutely delighted to see him get rewarded for his hard work. 🫡

I made the 5th Grade Promotion slideshow, and I really didn’t need to labor over the timing of the music because every time it switched to the next kid, all the kids would roar that students name with unabashed joy, I had tears in my eyes for all 122 of them, it was such a special experience.

What a great afternoon, celebrating our awesome kiddo, and the end of our school elementary journey as parents 💗

I stopped taking ibuprofen at the request of my headache specialist, so I’ve taken it maybe three times since December (this is a big deal for me because I was taking it almost daily), including today because I hurt my knee just existing and man, I feel so much better on it overall.

It’s been a really long day (just got home at 10:15pm after being gone for exactly 12 hours *and* I woke up at 4am because my brain is a jerk), but hey, I only cried once at the doctors office this morning so a win is a win.

I quit drinking coffee in November after we all got norovirus* and let me tell you, the caffeine in tea does not pack the same punch as the caffeine in coffee and I really miss it. *I quit drinking it because after getting sick, my tastebuds changed and coffee is disgusting 😭
