The whole Canes/Hart/McLeod saga was such an insane and preventable self-own. Even without these guys signing, you now have guys like Staal and RBA on the record sounding like jackasses when there was no reason to put them in that position to begin with.

A source confirmed to me what Frank Seravalli has reported, which is that the Hurricanes will not be signing Michael McLeod or Carter Hart.

A pro team belongs to the community. Whatever rich asshole buys the team… they’re just borrowing it. It’s the community’s responsibility to support the team how they can, but to also hold the team accountable. The fans won’t ALWAYS get their way, obviously, but they do - and SHOULD - have a vote.
