Monday Morning Feeling

I think I sprained my wrist while shoveling yesterday. I have to temporarily wear my watch on my dominant wrist now & it’s weird.

I’m trying really hard to not slip into another depressive state but the loss of Rob Reiner is fucking devastating. The way it happened is nauseating. He & his wife did not deserve this. The heartache of losing pivotal public figures continues to deepen.

His line deliveries were fucking hysterical

Rob Reiner was well renowned for is tide turning character Michael “Meathead” Stivic, his directorial masterpieces, & advocacy of progressive causes. All of which I greatly admire. I want to share my favorite cameo of his from one of my favorite films which will likely get glossed over in mourning

Rob Reiner made some great movies but he was also unafraid to speak the truth, and was one of the public voices who knew you don’t squander your platform, and only got louder about opposing evil fucks as he got older. Legend.

The snowy, gothic aesthetic of BATMAN RETURNS is still my favorite rendition of Gotham City in film. The oversized statues, the soundstage environments, the matte painting skylines. *chef’s kiss*
