President Trump is preparing to sign an executive order to dismantle the Department of Education.

On this day in 1913, after a half-century campaign by the labor movement to have a voice in the president’s cabinet, @dol.gov was founded. 112 years later, the Department of Labor has been our voice to enforce labor laws, defend our workplace rights, recover stolen wages, and much more.

We warned this would happen. Trump’s tariffs are already hurting WNY and now Canada is hitting back—raising prices on everyday goods and threatening jobs. Hardworking families will pay the price for this reckless trade war. I’m fighting to stop it before it gets even worse.
