I am begging political editors at legacy outlets to wait for confirmation before publishing misinformation that contributes to targeting vulnerable people. You don't need to be first on this. I promise you there are things more important than being first. Like your integrity.

Kinda hard to avoid the feeling that the military flyovers taking place over D.C. right now are intentional as ordered to interfere with the Epstein survivors press conference on the Hill. Survivors have paused their remarks until the flyovers pass.

I don't think most Americans realize how hard tariffs are about to hit them. The combination of 1) escalating tariffs, 2) companies slowly passing the cost to consumers, and 3) the repeal of the de minimis exemption in the Big Beautiful Bill, a lot stuff will be more expensive in 2027.

the most notable thing about the Politico/Mamdani/Jeffries piece imo is the framing that Mamdani lost somehow. Mamdani is a rising star with broad and enthusiastic support. Jeffries needs him a lot more than he needs Jeffries, even if Jeffries doesn’t get that.
