While I’m sitting here. Here’s a thing. This piece of wall to the rear of Access to Music has puzzled me for years, it’s clearly a relict piece of something. What has always seemed odd about it I’d the angle. But I’ve just made an overlay, and it’s clearly a wall from a range of buildings…

The 12thC doorway at St Botolph's, Barton Seagrave has a very lively tympanum. Peopled with a variety of strange beasts and equally strange faces (Mr Potato Head) it's certainly unusual and rather amusing. The 16/17thC door is handsome too. #Adoorableday #AdoorableThursday

Eltham Palace (1933) by Seely & Paget. This home was attached to the near-ruins of a 15th century palace where Henry VIII grew up. The home was derided at the time, particularly for its demolition of some of the site’s more dilapidated parts, but it is today a classic of Art Deco residential design.
